# Trial conditions

A trial period allows testing a Gcore service for free for a limited time, regardless of the plan selected. Pricing for each service and tariff after the trial ends is listed on [Gcore Pricing](https://gcore.com/pricing/edge-network) and in the [Gcore Customer Portal](https://portal.gcore.com).

## Trial availability by service

Not every service offers a trial. The following table shows which services offer trials, and any related conditions.

Customized trial conditions are available for Enterprise plans. Contact support or an account manager to discuss them.

## Starting a trial

A trial can be activated for any plan that offers one.

For new accounts, selecting a service with a trial from the left navigation menu opens a welcome page for that service. Click **Get started for free** to begin the trial; no credit card is required.

For accounts with services already activated, tariff plan activation (including any available trial) happens on the [Services](https://portal.gcore.com/accounts/settings/services) page, under **Account** in the Customer Portal. Click **Activate service** next to the required service and follow the on-screen instructions. A plan can also be activated by selecting the relevant service from the left navigation menu.

An email confirms the start of the trial, followed by a reminder 2 days before it ends. Contact support ([support@gcore.com](mailto:support@gcore.com) or chat) or an account manager to extend the trial duration or add gigabytes.

  The activation flow differs for some services, including DDoS Protection. Follow the instructions in the Customer Portal to activate these services.
